IBEX MARINA ROPES is a cordage and rope making company specialising in Elasticated Shock Cord (often referred to as Bungee Rope) and braided rope products.

Uniquely, the business also offers bespoke assemblies to meet specific customer requirements, in addition to the standard range of products sold in continuous length into technically orientated market places. The myriad of industrial businesses require us to use both traditional and new high tech fibres, such as polyester, nylon, polypropylene, cotton, jute, sisal, aramid, ultra high molecular polyethylene (UHMPE) and a range of other fibres deriving from glass and carbon. All of these fibres are processed into braids and ropes. In order to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers, it is commonplace that the products undergo secondary treatments, including the applications of technical coatings and additional components to address certain challenges.

The rich history has resulted in a financially strong and stable British Manufacturing company with modern production machinery and a highly skilled and knowledgeable work force. The result is the supply of both basic and highly technical products to the UK, Europe and beyond.

We have a long heritage and have been on the 70,000 sq ft/7,000 sq Metre Heywood site dating back to 1843. Through the culmination of multiple successful mergers and acquisitions, which included British Rope and Twine (Branded Marina Ropes), John H Blakey, Ibex Ropes, Whitely Products, College Accessories, Dollamore and various other well known brands, the company has maintained its position as a market leader in its chosen specialised fields.
